Rakupon「ラ・クーポン」 is the discount coupons issued by Rakuten Travel for its members. It can be used to deduct the room charges when booking hotel in Rakuten Travel website. Rakupon is one kind of fixed amount coupon and the discounted amount range from 100 yen to tens of thousands of yen, but mostly in 500 yen or 1,000 yen.
Rakupon generally has a period of validity. Some of them have quaitity limit, for example, only 100 pieces. When the quantity used rearch the limit, the unused coupon will immediately lapse.
There are several different types of Rakupon, such as:
1. General coupons for whole Japan
This kind of Rakupon appliable to all stay plans in all Japan hotels that can be booked in Rakuten Travel website. The discount amount is usually 500 yen and has a relatively short period of validity and usually issued in some promotion acitvities.
2. General coupons for specific region
This kind of Rakupon appliable to all stay plans in all hotels in specific region that can be booked in Rakuten Travel website, such as Kinki. The discount amount is usually 500 yen and has a relatively short period of validity and usually issued in some promotion acitvities.
3. Coupon for designate hotel
Most Rakupon is only appliable to a desingate hotel. The discount amount, conditions of usage and period of validity may different among the coupons for different hotels. Moreover, not all hotels will launch Rakupon. This kind of Rakupon usually only applicable to specific stay plan, but some may applicable to all stay plan in the hotel.

How to get the Rakupon？
There is a Rakupon Page in the Rakuten Travel website. Here you can find the new Rakupon, as well as to search Rakupon by regions.
In addition to the Rakupon Page, you can also find the Rakupon in each hotel’s page in Rakuten Travel website.
In the page of most hotels, you can find a red button marked as 「クーポン一覽」 in the upper left corner. Press this button will go into the Rakupon page of the hotel. If there is any Rakupon applicable to this hotel, they will be displayed in here.
In the following, we take Hotel Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku as an example to explain the details of Rakupon:
| (1) | サマーセール☆2000円割引クーポン | This is the name of the coupon, follow by the brief description. |
| (2) | 宿泊料金の合計から | This is the discount amount |
| (3) | このクーポンが利用できる宿泊プラン | This is the stay plan that the coupon can be applied. “全ての宿泊プランでご利用できます” means this coupon can be used in all stay plan. If the coupon can only be used to specific stay plan, here will displayed the name of that stay plan as well as the link to the page of that stay plan. |
| (3) | 予約可能期間 | This is the period of booking that the coupon can be applied. |
| (4) | 宿泊可能期間 | This is the period of stay that the coupon can be applied. |
| (5) | 枚数制限 | This is the quantity limit. |
| (6) | 利用条件 | This is the conditions of usage. In this example, the conditions of usage include: total room charges exceed 14,000 yen, and at least 2 guests. |
You must download the coupon before you can use it. To download the coupon, press the 「無料でクーポンGET」 red button. Then the system will go to the following login page. Enter your user ID and password to login, then the coupon will be download to your account.
All downloaded coupons will be recorded in the “myCoupon” page of your membership account.
