【STEP - 3】Booking
After you press the 「Book Now」 red button (or click the date on the map that show the room availability), the system will jump to the room reservation page.
1. First, you should make sure the booking details are correct.
【Tips】：In general, the room charges in Japan hotels are calculated on per person basis, therefore, the room rates displayed is per person rates. In this example, the total room charges is JPY4,000×2 persons＝JPY8,000, the room charges already include fee and taxes.
2. Fill in the following information:
Guest Name – (1) Fill in your last name and first name, only need one guest’s name for each room and the name should be same with those in passport. (2) Fill in the number of guests of male and female.
Phone Number – Fill in your mobile phone number.
Address – Fill in your address.
E-mail Address – Fill in your email address that used to receive the booking confirmation.
Arrival Time – Provide the estimated time that you will arrive the hotel.
3. Choose payment method and fill in your valid credit information. If the hotel accept both “Pay at hotel” and “Prepayment”, you can choose one in the process of reservation.
【Tips】：Even if you choose "Pay at hotel", you still need to provide a valid credit card information. But the credit card information only serve as a guarantee of reservation, the hotel will not charge you from the credit card. However, if you do not stay after the booking is confirmed and have not cancel the booking follow the hotel's cancellation policy, the hotel may charge you the penality from your credit card. Please refer to the article “Cancel Booking” to learn about the cancellation procedure. If you choose "Prepayment", the hotel will charge your credit card after the booking is confirmed.
【Tips】：You can pay by cash in Japanese yen or by credit card in hotel if you choose to pay at hotel. You can check the type of card that the hotel will accept in its information page.
4. Make sure the information are correct, then press the 「Complete Reservation」 button in the bottom of the page to confirm your reservation. The room reservation process is finished upon you press the above button. If you have choose “Prepayment”, you need to press the 「Next」 button to confirm the credit card information in order to finish the booking.
Then, you will receive an email from Rakuten Travel in your mailbox. This is the reservation confirmation letter. You should print out this confirmation and present it to the hotel when you check-in.
